[Archived] Screening integration with Covidence

Owner:
Reason for archiving:
Screening integration not relevant at the moment, may  at a later stage be replaced by other roadmap item to get screened studies into RevMan Web from a screening tool and/or getting extracted data into RevMan web from another tool

What business value does this roadmap item create? / Which problem is this roadmap item trying to solve?

Saves time by transferring study data from Covidence to RevMan Web.
Removes dependency on RevMan 5 file to transfer data. E.g. easier to use RoB 2 together with Covidence

  • 3 users suggested Covidence integration in the RevMan Web user form
  • 5 users asked for or how to import data directly to Covidence
  • X number of Cochrane reviews are currently using Covidence

How can the value delivered be measured?

Number of authors using the Covidence integration after X months. Impact on adoption after X time.

Which assumptions are made in relation to the value?

The integration will pull users to RevMan Web from RevMan 5.
The integration will increase the number or Cochrane reviews using Covidence for screening studies.
Using Covidence reduces time spent on screening records to identify legible studies for the review.

What are the dependencies for fulfilling the business value?

Covidence team availability and work process
Will need to work together with other functionality that use the RM5 file.

What are the risks related to this roadmap item?

Managing Editors block use of the feature because it breaks RevMan 5 What is included and excluded in the scope of this solution (subject to change over time)?

See Confluence page

How much time do we estimate to implement this roadmap item?

This is a guesstimate made by the Review Production Team based on known information about the roadmap item and the capacity of the team at the time of estimation (June 2020).

Large: 3 or more sprints = More than 6 weeks. High risk of increasing in scope as we learn more and due to dependency on another team.
