Cochrane’s editorial and publishing policies can now be found on the Cochrane Library Editorial policies page. Cochrane authors and editorial teams should refer to the Cochrane Library as the primary source of information on this policy. For editorial guidance on policies the EPPR remains the primary location.

Policy

All proposed Cochrane Reviews must be agreed with the relevant Cochrane Review Group and registered as titles with that Cochrane Review Group.

This prevents duplication of effort, ensures the topic is appropriate for a Cochrane Review, and complements the existing and ongoing work of the Cochrane Review Group.

Authors interested in working on a particular review should refer to details and process described on the Cochrane Community website: Proposing and registering new reviews.
