Update or change Risk of Bias 1 setup
Tag a version before making changes to your Risk of Bias set-up. Changing the set-up can remove previously-entered judgements. Tagging a version will allow you to copy and restore these if needed.
Locate Risk of Bias setup
To change the items (domains) for your 'Risk of bias' assessment, go to the list of Included studies, then click on the 'Action' button at the top right. Click on 'Edit risk of bias setup' in the menu that pops up.
Edit a Risk of Bias item
Click on the arrow icon next to the domain name, then click on ‘Edit Risk of Bias Item’ button. Note that you can only edit user-defined items, not Core items.
Note that if you choose to Set the Risk of Bias domain assessment to be at Outcome level (not at study level), an outcome group must be added, and the relevant analyses selected in 'Edit Risk of Bias Item' to show the assessment in the Risk of Bias Summary graph.
Add a Risk of Bias item
To add a user-defined item, go back to the 'Risk of Bias Items' page, click on the ‘Add Risk of Bias Item’ button and add the name and the description of the item. You can select the new item to be at Study level or Outcome level.
Activate, deactivate, reorder or delete an item
Click on the ‘Action’ button to move the item up or down, activate or deactivate it, or delete it. Note that these actions can be applied to both Core items and user-defined items.
Note that if you choose to Set the Risk of Bias domain to be assessed at Outcome level (not study level), an outcome group must be added before being able to activate the Risk of Bias domain.
