The appeals process is as follows:

  1. The title, authors, and CD number of the Cochrane Review, protocol for a Cochrane Review, or update of a Cochrane Review.
  2. Documented details of the editorial process (including the peer review reports and timelines) – if the case is submitted by the CRG.
  3. The original editorial decision.
  4. The original appeal submission by the authors.
  5. The response to the appeal from the CRG. 
  6. The exact reasons why further consideration by the Editor in Chief is required.
