Versions Compared

You can compare two document versions of a Review to identify differences between them and to check what needs to be updated in an outdated translation.


Firstly, find out which version number of the Review you translated:

  1. Search for the CD number in Archie, and right-click on your translation to open the properties.
  2. On the History tab, click on the last published version number of your translation, and you can see the version number of the corresponding Review. 

Then, to compare two versions of the Review:

3. Find the Review on Archie, and open the properties.

4. On the History tab, click the latest published version, and then Ctrl-click (or Cmd-click for Mac users) on the version that you want to compare it with, which should be the version that you previously translated.

5. Click Compare.

6. The Review text will open with changes highlighted in red or green. Differences are highlighted in red and green; deleted text is shown in red and with strikethrough; new text is shown in green and underlined (see screen shot below).

7. You can save the document as an HTML file using the Save option (disk icon button), or create a PDF version by clicking on the PDF button.
