Handle validation errors
The "Validation errors" tab in Translate displays errors in the =
translation files which are causing publication issues. Once a validation e=
rror occurs, project managers should also receive an email notification.&nb=
sp;
Common errors and ways how to fix them:
- Error message: "Either Abstract o=
r Summary section must be translated."
- Open the link to the affected Phr=
ase project and check whether all segments are fully translated. Once the t=
ranslation has been updated, trigger the publication process again by chang=
ing the status of the document to an earlier status such as "New" and then =
back to "Completed by provider".
- Error message: "Missing or misplaced tag(s) in the translated text."=20
- This error message indicates a possible issue with Phrase tags. Open
the link to the affected Phrase project=
and run the QA check in the QA tab at the bottom of the right-hand side pa=
nel. Select the errors that you want to look for such as "Tag/Formatting" a=
nd click "Run". Clicking on the error will take you to the resp=
ective segment where you will be able to fix the issue. Please find further=
details here. Once the translation has been upda=
ted, trigger the publication process again by changing the status of the do=
cument to an earlier status such as "New" and then back to "Completed by pr=
ovider".
