Form: Permission to co-publish a short version of a Cochrane Review in a journal
The permission to co-publish form has four sections to be completed by the authors (section 1), the Cochrane Review Group (CRG) (section 2), the Cochrane Editorial & Methods Department (section 3), and the publisher of Cochrane Library, John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. (section 4). Download form as a Word document (revised June 2022).
Authors must complete section 1 of this form and send it to the CRG for approval regardless of whether a journal has a co-publication agreement with Cochrane or not. If an agreement is in place, the CRG may approve the request directly and should forward to the EMD and Wiley for information. If no agreement is in place, the CRG should complete section 2 and forward to the EMD for further consideration. Once the EMD has completed section 3 and Wiley has completed section 4, the request will be fully approved and the completed form will be returned to the authors.
Co-publication agreement for journals
Journal editors must contact Wiley (Gavin Stewart, Senior Journals Publishing Manager, gstewart@wiley.com) to discuss setting up a co-publication agreement. This will ensure that the agreement is up-to-date and supports the journal in how they wish to use Cochrane Review content.
